IMAGES ON THE RISE

Images On The Rise is a non-profit organization that was founded by Bessie Daniels (aka Madea) and Marie Sholes her daughter in 1992. The organization was founded out of a desire to provide housing in an extended family environment for homeless men, women and women with children. From their humble beginnings the first site was open on 74th Avenue in East Oakland, California a site that housed 24 men. In 2 years the organization grew to operating five sites, housing up to 95 men, women and women with children on any given day. Providing housing for a diverse population, ranging from parolees men and women re-entering main stream, single women and women and men with children, those with mental health issues, individuals with HIV/AIDS, families dealing domestic violence, substance abuse and extreme poverty.

Images On The Rise FEED PROGRAM is focus on  a serious problem that thousands women and children that are dealing with on a daily, which is homelessness, poverty and domestic violence.  As we wake up in our safe homes and our own beds to a wonderful breakfast, many women and children are sleeping in cars and abandon housings.  It’s true we just housed a young mother and three children that was sleeping a car and was without food as well.  IMAGES FEED believes no man, woman or child should be homeless nor hungry in our GREAT COUNTRY!!!
